think about it

your right to choose

Many women and girls remove their body hair because they feel they have no other choice, but the natural female body (hair and all) is attractive in its own right and choosing not to remove your hair is a valid option that needn’t inhibit you in any way.

The most publicised opinion is that hair is undesirable on women. Many who believe that opinion to be fact make their decision to shave without putting much thought into what motivates their decision.

By exploring peoples variable attitudes towards hair (see Other People’s Opinions and Experiences) I hope that this website will encourage a lot of people to think further on the subject (see Evaluate your Reasons) and show you that it is possible to be comfortable with the way your body is naturally (see Celebrate Hair).

your individuality

Everyone is unique and everyone is allowed their own preferences and opinions. They may be different to the accepted norm, they might be different from the opinions which led me to make this website, but that doesn’t make them wrong. No preference is more right correct than the rest. I am not trying to convince everyone to be hairy, I am only saying that more people should be thinking about why they want to be (or feel they should be) removing their body hair.

The right choice for you is a choice that is informed by exploring how you feel, independent of popular opinion. I do respect that hair removal suits some people, and if there is one thing I have learnt from researching this subject, it is that each individual who has put thought into the subject of hair and hairlessness has a unique preference and attitude based upon their experience.

commercial-free hair removal facts for consumers by Andrea James

Andrea: "I'm a Los Angeles-based writer who wrote commercials at a major agency for many years... I make a living selling stuff to people, but I maintain this free commercial-free site. I like to think of this site as giving something back-- using my powers for good, instead of evil <wink>."
